HMRC have advised that they are having intermittent issues and delays with RTI submissions and responses. Work is urgently being carried out to fix the issue.

Modern Slavery Policy

Introduction

Slavery, child labour and human trafficking are serious crimes and a violation of fundamental human rights. There are various forms of this ‘Modern Slavery’ which deprives victims of their liberty in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

This statement is made on behalf of The Company and constitutes our human trafficking and modern slavery transparency statement pursuant to section 54 (1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) (the Statement).

Business Overview

Thesaurus Software Ltd. is an Irish owned business, founded in 1992. We are an award winning provider of payroll, accounting and HR software. Our software is used by over 330,000 employers, predominantly SMEs, across the UK and Ireland. Our services are delivered by approximately 80 professional staff.

We conduct our business fairly, ethically and with respect to fundamental human rights. We are fully committed to the prevention of all forms of slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour and human trafficking, both in our business and in our supply chains. We will not tolerate it.

Our Policies

The Company has a number of policies and procedures which are relevant for mitigating the risk of human slavery or trafficking happening in our business or any of our supply chains.

The Company provides every employee with a written contract of employment. We pay every employee in accordance with the law. We comply with our legal obligations to ensure the health and safety of all of our employees and workers, including in relation to working hours, rest breaks and holidays.

Our Suppliers

Thesaurus Software Ltd. expects our suppliers to adopt the same level of standards as we adhere to throughout their businesses. Suppliers and Vendors of Thesaurus Software Ltd. must assess their business and supply chains, they must comply with legal obligations, in relation to Modern Slavery, and be committed to ensuring there is no slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour or human trafficking taking place in their business, or any of their supply chains.

We recognise that the majority of our suppliers, are not in industries with a high risk of modern day slavery. In addition, our supply chains are primarily confined to Ireland and the UK, countries with a relatively lower risk of modern day slavery and human trafficking.

From a risk management perspective, we commit to identifying and reviewing suppliers and vendors that fall within industries and/or countries that can carry higher risk in respect of modern slavery and human trafficking.

Where a supplier or vendor is found to have slavery or human trafficking in their business, or knowingly in their supply chain, the Company may terminate the contract and pursue its legal remedies.

Reporting knowledge or suspicion of slavery or human trafficking

Employees, or those providing a service to the Company, must immediately report any suspicions of Modern Slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains to the relevant Manager or the Managing Director. The issue will be investigated and a decision made on necessary further action.

Anyone who raises a concern will not suffer any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting any genuine concerns, raised in good faith, under this policy. This applies, even if after investigation, they are found to be mistaken.
